Brookwood Bluefish Swim and Dive Team Meet and Event Schedule

 

May 29th from 12-2.  Registration day at Brookwood
June 2nd from 6-8 pm.  Meet the team/coach night at Brookwood.
June 7th.  FIRST DAY OF PRACTICE
June 7th at 7PM.  Dive clinic for judges and coaches at 5 seasons CC
June 9th at 7PM.  Swim clinic for officials and coaches at South Hills Civic Club, Ft. Wright
June 10th at 6:30.  NKSL RELAY MEET at 5 seasons.

June 15th at 6:30.  DIVE MEET.  Beechwood at Brookwood.
June 17th at 6:30.  SWIM MEET.  Brookwood at Beechwood.
June 21th all day.  TGIF Fundraiser at TGIF in Crestview.
June 22nd at 6:30.  DIVE MEET.  Brookwood at Taylor Mill.
June 24th at 9 am.  PICTURE DAY for Swim and Dive teams.  Donuts provided.
June 24th at 6:30.  SWIM MEET.  Taylor Mill at Brookwood.

June 29th at 6:30.  DIVE MEET.  Brookwood at Bluegrass.
July 1st at 6:30.  SWIM MEET.  Bluegrass at Brookwood.
July 2nd at 6:30.  TEAM SLEEPOVER and float decorating at Brookwood.   All children 10 and under need an adult or older sibling to stay overnight.
July 3rd at 8 am.  Meet in Kmart lot for Edgewood 4th of July parade.  Must bring own candy to throw.  Bluefish on the float will be dropped off at President’s Park for pickup.  Please arrange to pick up your child at the park at the end of the parade.

July 6th at 6:30.  DIVE MEET.  Brookwood at Oakbrook.
July 8th at 6:30.  SWIM MEET.  Oakbrook at Brookwood.
July 13th at 6:30.  DIVE MEET.  Five Seasons at Brookwood.
July 15th at 6:30.  SWIM MEET.  Brookwood at Five Seasons.
July 19th all day.  TGIF Fundraiser at TGIF in Crestview.

Event Details:

 

Edgewood Days – By providing proof of Edgewood residence, citizens will be able to visit the club for the day free of charge and experience Brookwood's relaxed and fun family atmosphere.   Final dates for these events have not been set.

Friday happy hours – The pool will be open for families to swim until 10:00 p.m. and the Tiki Bar will be open until 11:00 p.m. for "Happy Hour."  Remember not to bring any glass dishes!   Anyone under the age of 21 needs to leave at 10 p.m. when the pool closes.

 

Tiki Bar Reminder – The Tiki Bar area is for adults 21 years of age or older.  Children under the age of 21 are only allowed under the sheltered area if accompanied by an adult.  Also please remember that the refrigerators at the Tiki Bar are for storing beer for members purchase only.  Food and other items may not be stored there.  Refrigerators are available in the garage for members to use on a daily basis.  Please do not leave items over night as space is limited.

 

Family Day – Family Day features a wide variety of fun, games, contests and prizes for the whole family. It is an event that is not to be missed!   Family Day #1 will be Sunday, June 27th.   Family Day #2 will be Sunday, August 21st and will feature the annual state of the pool address and membership meeting.

 

Summer Party/Adult Night – For an entry fee, adults will hear music and enjoy special drink prices. Members are asked to please bring a dish or hors d'oeuvre.   Everyone is encouraged to bring non-members so that they can experience Brookwood!   The event will feature live music.

 

Movie Night – Brookwood will have "dive-in" movie nights at the pool on Friday, June 25th and Friday, July 16th. The movie will be something appropriate for all ages.

 

Swim & Dive Meets – Brookwood will close at 4:00 p.m. a few dates each month for either swim or dive meets. In most cases, your cards will be good for a visit to the pool of the visiting club. Florence Aquatic Center does NOT honor N.K.S.L. member cards.

 

Guest Fees – Guest fees are $5.00 per person at a maximum of $15.00 per family. The fee is reduced to $3.00 per person after 3:30 p.m. daily. Guests must be accompanied by a member of the club.

 

Member Referral Reward – There is a $25.00 referral reward to those members who refer someone to the pool.  The reward is only available to one member and the bond must be purchased from the pool.
