Sunday Cookouts

Cookouts will generally begin at 4:00 PM and last until 6:00 PM (Rain or Shine).

Participation is welcomed and encouraged. Get together with your “group” and organize a Sunday cookout. Remember, if everyone does a little, no one has to do a lot! Contact Dan Lenihan if you would like to volunteer for a cookout.

Edgewood Days – Friday, July 18th and Friday, July 25th will be "Edgewood Day" at Brookwood Swim Club.   By providing proof of Edgewood residence, citizens will be able to visit the club for the day free of charge and experience Brookwood's relaxed and fun family atmosphere.

Friday happy hours – The pool will be open for families to swim until 10:00 p.m. and the Tiki Bar will be open until 11:00 p.m. for "Happy Hour."  Every other week, the Happy Hour will feature a pot-luck!  Check the calendar on the home page for more information and remember not to bring any glass dishes!  Currently scheduled theme nights are Italian Night (June 6th), German Night (June 20th), Cajun Night (July 25th), Seafood Night (August 8th).

Tiki Bar Reminder – The Tiki Bar area is for adults 21 years of age or older.  Children under the age of 21 are only allowed under the sheltered area if accompanied by an adult.  Also please remember that the refrigerators at the Tiki Bar are for storing beer for members purchase only.  Food and other items may not be stored there.  Refrigerators are available in the garage for members to use on a daily basis.  Please do not leave items over night as space is limited.

Euchre Night – Brookwood will host a Euchre Night on June 14th at the pool for adults age 18 and up. Individuals are welcome as partners will be rotating. The entrance fee is $5 with a penalty each time a pair is euchred. Please bring a side dish and contact Bill Eilerman if you are interested.

Family Day – Brookwood has two family days scheduled for 2008. The first will be on June 29th and the second will be August 17th. Family Day features a wide variety of fun, games, contests and prizes for the whole family. It is an event that is not to be missed! The June 29th family day will also feature the annual Steak/Chicken Dinner Cookout. Donations of salads and deserts would be greatly appreciated for this event!

Summer Party/Adult Night – July 19th will feature Brookwood's annual Adult Night Summer Party. For a $5 entry fee, adults will hear the music of the band "Just Gravy" and enjoy special drink prices. Members are asked to please bring a dish or hors d'oeuvre.

Movie Night – Brookwood will have a "dive-in" movie night at the pool for kids on August 8th. The movie will be something appropriate for all ages.

Golf Outing – The annual Brookwood Golf Outing is tentatively scheduled for Friday, August 29th at Kenton County.   This is a new date.   Please contact Doug Smith for more information.

Taste of Brookwood – Bring your favorite dish on August 31st for the annual Taste of Brookwood potluck event just don't bring any glass!

Swim & Dive Meets – Brookwood will close at 4:00 p.m. a few dates each month for either swim or dive meets. In most cases, your cards will be good for a visit to the pool of the visiting club. 2008 meets occur on the following days: Thursday, June 19th (Ft. Thomas), Tuesday, June 26th (Beechwood), Thursday, July 3rd (Ludlow), Thursday, July 17th (Cherry Hill) and Tuesday, July 24th (Florence). Florence Aquatic Center does NOT honor N.K.S.L. member cards.

Guest Fees – Guest fees are $5.00 per person at a maximum of $15.00 per family. The fee is reduced to $3.00 per person after 3:00 p.m. daily. Guests must be accompanied by a member of the club.

Member Referral Reward – There is a $25.00 referral reward to those members who refer someone to the pool.  The reward is only available to one member and the bond must be purchased from the pool.
