Welcome to Brookwood Swim and Tennis Club for the Summer!Fellow members,
I know it is hard to believe, but warm weather and summertime fun is just around the corner. In just a few weeks, spring will be upon us and it will be time to groom Brookwood for the 2008 swim season. There is much to do: fresh paint, pool repairs, and filtration system maintenance, just to name a few. I look forward to our opening, Memorial Day Weekend, Friday May 24th.
Over the winter, the Board of Directors has been meeting to close out a terrific 2007 swim season and prepare for a safe and warm 2008. Last year was another prosperous summer at Brookwood. We met our financial responsibilities and even had a surplus to cover expenses for the winter. Our membership count remains strong, more than 380 family memberships, but we continue to search for ways to attract new members to insure our club’s fiscal stability. We are committed to keep Brookwood a reasonably priced, fun, and safe place for all of us. We kept our family membership price the same as 2007 and have added some new membership options to choose from.
If you know of someone interested in joining a swim club or simply searching for a great way to spend the summer, have them contact Tim Shields for membership information. Our website, www.brookwoodswimclub.com, has information and links to direct them to our pricing information.

There are many employment opportunities available so if you, your children or someone you know is interested in employment for the summer, please visit the site and submit an application. Our website has an application link for your convenience. The swim team and boosters are also busy getting ready for 2008. The website has information for anyone interested in having their children swim for the Brookwood Bluefish in 2008. Last year was another successful season for our swimmers. The team had the highest placed finish in the Northern Kentucky Swim League Champ Meet (2nd place) in quite a few years. We wish them another terrific season. GO BLUEFISH !!!!! We will hold a raffle (value of a family membership) again
this year. Board Members Doug Smith and Dan Lenihan are in charge
of the raffle. They also accepted the duel responsibility as co-activity
directors. We will be having two Family Days and quite a few
Sunday Cook-outs. We would like to organize a golf outing, a
tennis tournament, and a corn-hole tournament as well. If you are
interested in helping with any of these events Doug and Dan’s contact
information is available on the website. |
